January may be the longest month known to man but competition wise it was a bit of a non-event! We had already decided we weren't going to run any of our own shows in January & February anyway as it's always weather dependent as to whether we can run or not but with the unfortunate EHV-1 situation in Hampshire we weren't going out to any either!
Cheryl Bezants, Emily Harris & Roland Tong still came to us for our monthly clinics but it was just us & our liveries who were able to enjoy them. Thankfully it looks like normal service will be resumed in most places for February so hopefully our 'News' page will be slightly more interesting!
We did have a sad day this month where we said goodbye to Robbie, the last remaining pony from our riding school days. We don't know his exact age but know he was well into his 30's who came to us via our neighbour Deborah Leabeater. He had quite a reputation in his younger days for being a bit of a monkey, a personality trait he kept well into his senior years. Robbie has enjoyed the last few years of his long & happy retirement in the field with his mate Tyson who misses him dearly.
In the absence of anything much else to report on this month I'll leave you with some photos from our clinics thanks to the wonderful Tammy Lovell of TLovellphotography & one of Robbie thanks to Alison.
