Woodington Winners!   - Due to lack of a free weekend we didn't run a show in November but normal service will be resumed next month!

With Rocky on a competition break it was down to Olivia's trio of  chestnuts to bring home the spoils this month.   At a very soggy Crofton Paula Barne's  Ozzie won his section of  novice 30 with 67.69%, Amber DeSavary's  Peaches was 2nd in both elementaries on 68.44% & 71.33%  bettered only by    Stephanie Illsley's Butch who won both classes with 72.24% & 73.83%.

Olivia then had another good day, this time at Sparsholt with Peaches winning both elementaries on 69% & 71% & Butch making his debut a medium confirmed he's more than ready for the step up with  68.9% for 2nd & 70.08%  to win the class.

Rocky continues to amaze us with her ability & attitude to work,  her training sessions are a joy to watch. Olivia is hoping her 3 year old,  Ziege, (out of Rocky's full sister )    who arrives this week for backing, is going to show the same attributes!

Mandy & Ryan.

Mandy & Ryan started the month at the Nettex Associated Championships at Bury Farm. Competing in the part bred Draught horse classes Ryan was a bit of a monkey on the first day in medium 73 with a big spook going into the canter work proving costly. They scored 64.19% which was still good enough for 4th place. On the second day in elementary 53 he redeemed himself  with a lovely test & was narrowly pipped into 2nd place with nearly 67%.

Mandy in her 'retirement' has been busier than ever, with judging, writing, scoring, clipping, mucking out & riding among the things filling her time!

Alison, Denver & Lizzie .

With both Alison's two on a competition break until next year there's not much to report from them. Denver decided he needed a bit more of a rest & has unfortunately  developed another abcess, with all this bloody wet ground it's hardly surprising. That aside    he is progressing well  with his training, he & Alison are getting ever closer to cracking the one's, he's getting stronger in the pirouette work & his piaffe passage is mega!

With her new found strength Lizzie is becoming more & more trainable, they've introduced working pirouettes  into her schooling & with help from Olivia have started some ground work to introduce her to half steps. Both horses continue to jump as part of their training with Lizzie especially proving she's no one trick pony, making some of the testing    lines at this months arena eventing clinic look quite easy!
