We had two competitions this month so double the winners!
At our Dressage to Music show at the beginning of October we had joint winners, one of whom, Lisa Withers & Somer, had attended our dressage to music clinic & were competing in their first music class so huge congratulations to them. Our other winner was Helen Dawes & her sometimes challenging mare, Wyona, who was on her best behaviour for this class. Both combinations scored 69.44%, Lisa prelim, Helen novice.
At our regular dressage competition at the end of the month big scores were the order of the day! Our very own Jane Twell riding Kate Butler's Zi won the Intro with 77.61% & Claire Holiday & Sheldon won the Prelim with a massive 82.73%. Congratulations to them all!
Olivia returned from her trip to The States to a rather wetter UK than the one she left behind! She has spent this month getting the girls going again after their holidays as well as her usual riding & teaching for clients, as I type she's at The Unicorn Centre teaching at a two day camp for the under 21's dressage group.

Alison, Lizzie & Denver.
Denver returned to work this month after his enforced break due to an abcess, as you can see from the photo he was very pleased to be allowed in the field again. He's back in full work again now but will be having a competition break until next year using the time to build his strength & try to improve some of the more advanced work as well as having a bit of a holiday over Christmas.
Lizzie is also having a competition break, she has grown in confidence in her work so much over the last few months we've decided to give her a couple more months to build her strength & work on those flying changes!
Alison also enjoyed giving Adam a jump this month while Sam was on her holidays to Barbados, I think it's safe to say they both had a lovely time, see picture below!
Mandy & Ryan.
For someone who is retired Mandy is certainly packing a lot in! Between scoring, writing, teaching, riding & mucking out she's also now started her annual clipping frenzy, at Woodington alone she clipped 8 horses in two days last week!
She still found time to take Ryan to Parwood at the beginning of the month for the Petplan second rounds though. On the first day after warming up well for the advanced medium bronze he conked out a bit in the test but still managed 64.9% to finish 8th in a large class. On day two he still lacked a little energy in the test but was better than the day before & scored a very creditable 66.66% finishing 7th in the medium silver.
Photo thanks to Lyn Ebdon of Mandy clipping the lovely Riley.
